This page is to provide an update on the lawsuit against Citizens Taxi. On August 22, 2017, the Court granted our request for conditional certification to send out notice to other workers. The Court also denied the request by Citizens Taxi to have the lawsuit dismissed in its entirety. A copy of the judge’s order is available here: Dismissal Order
The lawsuit relates to whether the workers were independent contractors or employees and whether they were properly paid overtime. No decision has yet been made in the case; in other words, the judge has not decided who is right and who is wrong.
